The oldest bridge of Budapest. An exiting flood-lighting by night. Pest’s Danube bund: an amazing view to Buda, Gellért hill, the Castle district and Danube, 5 stars hotels and the opera house on the Pest’s bund, restaurants and bars. Don’t miss to walk it up.

Váci street (Váci utca)
Not far from the Pest’s Danube bank you will find Budapest’s most famous street, full of luxurious stores and shops, bars and restaurants (in the new part of the street, a bigger choice). Take a look at Vörösmárty square too, visit the Pest’s most famous confectionery there.

Gellért Hill (Gellért hegy)
Budapest’s highest hill full of history. Wonderful view to whole the town, amazing to go by night and see the Budapest’s lights.

The castle district and the Fisher’s Bastion (A várpalota és halász bástya)
In the Maria Teresa’s mansion you can find a number of famous Museums. Delightful building with amazing architecture. Super view to Danube and Pest. Its like going back 200 years in time. Do not miss the Szentháromság square where you can find Buda’s most famous church, the Mathias Church, and the Fisher’s Bastion beside it (go up to see the best view to the Hungarian Parliament in town). More restaurants, pubs and bars are waiting for you in this district (not the cheapest ones).

Heroes square (Hősök Tere)
A monumental statue group at the square tells you the whole History of Hungary in extract (you can find a statue of each famous Hungarian King there, the 7 tribe leaders (leading the Hungarian’s to the recent territories). Two great museums on both sides of the square. Not far you can find the Budapest’s famous zoo and the amusement park. Beside the square you will see the Vajdahunyad castle, build in more architectural styles, in the summer you can hire a boat for rowing, round the castle. It the winter there is skating ring on the lake.

Other things you do not have to miss in Budapest:

Budapest’s baths and spa:
You shall visit at least once one of the Budapest’s thermal water baths. Hot thermal water, sauna, steam bath. amusement pool are waiting for you at modest price (~7-10eur/person). The most known baths are Szecsényi fürdő (near the Heroes square, take the yellow underground (M1) to the Szecsényi fürdő stop. Other known baths: Gellértfürdő (on the Buda’s side right by the Szabadság bridge inside the Gellért Hotel, take bus no.7(black) from Ferenciék tere (a blue metro(M3) stop) to Gellért Hotel)., Lukács fürdő (on the Buda’s side near by Danube, on one line with Margaret island. Take bus number 6 from Nyugati pályaudvar get off the bus at Komjádi Béla uszoda and ask for Lukácsfürdő.

Margaret Island:
Take a romantic walk in the Hungary’s most famous park-island in the heart of Budapest. There you can hire bicycle, take a look at the small zoo, have a drink at fresh air and green or do some sports as jogging or tennis. There you can find few restaurants, hotels with spa and lots of green grass and trees as well

Romai part (aquincum)
You can have good time right by the Danube’s bank (Buda side) at the so called Római part(the Romanic bank, there are romanic remaining in the near, the so called Aquincum).
